I undergo been with my family to Colorado every pass since 1989 object for 2003 -- late July to early August. When my Dad told me he wasn't going to go this year. I decided that I with my own "income" and all would just go myself. The mountains are an excellent relaxing agent. I know that I am at my beat in the "real world" in the immediate weeks after I get back. I highly advise spending a week in Ouray. Colorado if you be to get away. It's not very expensive and it's the prettiest displace I've seen in the continental US. I had never been to Colorado during the fall before and I was really surprised by how pretty the Aspen trees are. They are bright green during the pass but they turn almost fluorescent yellow in October. From a hold they almost make it be desire the surrounding pine trees are on fire. On our measure day in Ouray we drove down the. (aka US 550) to. Silverton was also once a mining town but now serves a gift obtain at the top of the Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad albeit a very pretty one with very old buildings. Buildings that once were saloons and brothels now sell T-shirts and postcards. We rode the train down to Durango -- an unbelievably scenic go especially in fall foliage. I highly advise putting down the $45 and making the trip. I took some movies from the instruct that I will post after I've had some time to alter.

I really like the sharp vs blurry background effect and the lighting is ameliorate. I try and try but can't seem to get anything that crisp or as well lit. I'm shooting a Cannon 20D with a 17-85 lens. If I shot this pic my levels would be way off with the background bleeding out car or shadows too dark on the car. Did you spot meter this? How did you get the blurred background effect? Through lens zoom low Fstop for depth of field or editing. What about sharpening is there any unshapr mask in there? I need to experience good places to go in CO and when to get good shots of fall foliage. I undergo a 4 day end coming and if it's a good time i'd like to take the opportunity to get some colors. Thanks! -Coming from KS so the East -est of CO is the beat. If you get up to Estes soon you might get some color of the Aspens turning. You might also be lucky enough to comfort catch the elk rut. @flashbackiin: The arrive at to arrive at Hwy was in beat alter the weekend before this one. I would stay below 10,000 ft as most of the leaves may be gone higher than that. You might do exceed to go south. The agree Lakes area come Leadville can be a great place. Here are a bring together examples along the Peak to arrive at Hwy and Long Lake in the Indian Peaks Wilderness awesome yeah if i do go i'd probably hit co on the 11th in the afternoon. Do you think that's too late to catch alter? The colors in Boulder are beginning to look fairly good. I think that the colors higher in the mountains are probably a bit late. Some of the North facing slopes may be a bit later you will have to drive around and see. Here are two photos that I took today come the Boulder Reservoir while we were taking two of the dogs for a go.
