My very good friends Clark and Tiffany came to Great Falls to celebrate the marriage of one of Clark's old army buddies. My other friend Perkins (who was living with me for a chunk of the summer) and I decided to fly up there and pay them a visit. We grabbed some lunch at a pizza joint and went to visit the bird pond. There were so many ducks and birds the water was murky with duck droppings! Then we grabbed some frozen yogurt and made for back for Bozeman. It is always worth the drive to see good peeps but it was exceptionally nice since it had been over a year that I had seen Clark. I'm taking my wife and daughter+bff to Great Falls for a shopping trip next weekend. Any good places to look at some sled gear so I can keep my sanity while I'm there? You live in Calgary and your going shopping in Grt Falls? Isn't Calgary close to a million in population? You will be sadly disappointed in the shopping of anything in Great Falls. Tuesday September 11. 2007 There are some advantages to walking the dogs in the morning; you see things! I was excited to get the glow on the mountain peaks as the sun came over the mountains in the glacier parking lot. We made one other stop on the Parkway to see Peyto Lake. When we were there in June it was cloudy and the color was drab. This time the sun was out and it didn’t baffle. We traveled through Banff and Calgary (glad to get out of that merchandise) by early afternoon. South of Calgary is prairie with lots of ranches and livestock. A spokesman for Holman Aviation at the Great Falls International Airport said the Snowbirds stopped in Great Falls for furnish. The elite Canadian aviation demonstration team was en route to Reno.
