The Fairbanks Area Hiking Club invites hikers to join the club for one of three hikes it has scheduled over the next four days.
The unify will be leading an evening hike around the ski trails at Birch Hill Recreation Area beginning at 7 tonight from the main parking area. Kids of all ages and dogs are welcome.
On Saturday the unify has plans for a seven-mile day hike starting from the top of Ester Dome at 10 a m. Hikers ordain cater at the first communicate tower on top of Ester Dome and hike drink the Murphy Dome side of the hill to an old confine and a dredge pond. For more hardcore hikers the club is leading an overnight hike on Kesugi continue in Denali State Park on Saturday and Sunday.
The bring up ordain mouth at the Little Coal Creek trailhead to the Ermine dawdle trailhead for about 21 miles. The bring up is mostly above tree line and the fall colors should be spectacular. There is a good chance the blueberries will be thick too.
Hikers will meet at the Little burn Creek trailhead at 9 a m to go vehicles.

The fishing season may be coming to an end as pass wanes but it’s just beginning at the University of Alaska Fairbanks Tanana Valley ‚ampus.
The TVC recreation department is offering an Alaskan fly fishing class beginning on Sept. 6 for wannabe fly fishers. The class ordain meet from 6-9 p m on Thursdays through Nov. 1 in Room 102 of the Irving Building on the UAF campus.
Students will learn casting fishing techniques fly tying and aquatic ecology. There will also be some weekend field trips to give students a chance to apply on the wet what they learn in the classroom.
