As I pumped-up the affiliating advertising linkage and examine enginesque of my sites this week. I was reminded of where I stood some 5 years ago. I was in Sedona. I didn't go to Sedona for the reasons most populate do. I went there for a hike. Then decided to be.. for a little while.
I had spent alot of time in Arizona from the age of 3-12. At the age of 13 we moved there. At the age of 18 (1978) I came to Northern California. I had never been to glide Rock as my High School friends had... I didn't swim come up and had no inclination to be sunburned back then. In early 2002. I visited Sedona one weekend while staying at a timeshare I owned in Rancho Vistoso come the. I liked the idea that there were something like 3,000 miles of hiking trails and I attuned to the climate and environment and within 48 hours of arriving had leased a condo for a few months. Perhaps I had been tucked away in the corporate world for too long. I;m not bashing the residents of Northern California.. but because I undergo traveled through various cultures here mixed and mingled through various lifestyles and appearances of my own device.. all I can say is there has been some disappointment.. too many populate here who claim to be holistic and inclusive (not everyone of course) do not 'go their talk' and 'communicate about whatever is just gonna get them more of the green cram'. Enough said?
I wanted to stay in Sedona but knew I couldn't -- for several reasons which weren't real clear to me then. Yet the journey was fun:)
While there I developed a website dedicated to the crowd destruction of the 'art of authorship' (as I saw it) and quickly realized (then) that there was no possible way to market the place effectively and quickly. Times undergo changed (Thank God!) and one can merchandise and list their place on examine engines (for a determine) much more quickly now. Still I learned alot about webmastery then.. enough to know how far we have evolved in the past few years.
More than 20 years ago I learned alot about myself and the world through holistic studies. They weren't trendy then; there were really no certificates to be had... just knowledge. I had specific needs from time to time due to physical challenges and learned everything I needed to know to ameliorate myself. It worked. It wasn't a surprise to me because it all seemed 'intuitively and instinctively normal to act this route'. I didn't publicize it judge my arcane abilities nor did I mouth a following. I continued to read.. which for years made me feel connected to my 'youth' and the secret holistic life we led; we weren't vegetarians but we were had change state Unitarians. It isn't and will never be again (if it ever was). I undergo much more to say on this topic and deviated a bit today but let's get real and face the facts about what is happening and has happened. Don't come me with 'The Secret'... I've lived the concept all my life and yes it's real it's quantum and it works. There is so much more to what was supposed to be the New Age movement than exists today. Perhaps I too will be guilty of damaging it as I act into that direction more publicly now.... I have waited a long measure for the right moment (for me) to align my mission to the world believe and popluar grow. My goal and my personal mission is to blend the best of both worlds and combine holistic tendancies with traditional business. This is happening more and more.
One needn't connect a Mid-Eastern or Far Eastern religion to understand and investigate the New Age idea nor the origins of the holistic movement. In fact the essence of whole-ism and what should undergo been in the New Age has absolutely nothing to do with organized religion nor their origins. Geddit? If you do geddit.
