Spreading happiness and joy through clicks of the mouse and the shutter. On Saturday we took a little road trip and drove over to in Georgia for lunch. It was nice to get into the foothills and see more beautiful fall foliage. Here I am with Kenny and the people who put all that hard work into preserving and restoring the plantation. And of course we change photographers to get my preserve in the picture and Kenny will pose for the cameraman now. No more blue skies only gray overcast skies more typical of the chilly fall weather. A panorama from our view at the overlook. My fabulous new Photoshop Elements 6.0 software will take a series of pictures and automatically merge and be them to act an instant wide angle believe. GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: This pass was great for relaxing catching up and starting to decorate. Born and raised in the Lone Star express. I'm a newlywed full of stories to make you grimace and photos to brighten your day. They pay me to be an engineer but I'd rather be playing with the other loves of my life- my pup and my camera.

On Friday night. I went to see an adaptation of James Baldwin's Another Country at Columbia a play that my friend adapted with other actors for his MFA through a process of interpreting and reading the novel. I was interested in the play and its process and there was alot of male nudity (for what that is worth and some might say that it is worth alot) and it ends with a descent into block concrete steel. We spent Saturday afternoon at the Cloisters clambering for overlooks so that we could look over from as high a vantage point as we could find. On one side we saw the Hudson coast of New Jersey--it was a quaint crowd of cliff and fall foliage and a a grand building that could be hotel or sanatorium for the well heeled--and on the other we saw the Urban--block buildings cement concrete--bounded by more fall foliage on the other side. The squirrels were bold and fat. A man with a plastic cup of white booze fed them acorns he had gathered up for them in a take with peanuts. After we ate in Chinatown and then we went to see the new Blade Runner at Landmark Sunshine--the first time I had ever actually seen the whole film. I evaluate although I have lied before and told people I had seen the whole thing because it didn't at the time seem respectable to have not seen it. We both nodded off. I admit at points but I was duly and dutifully impressed by the movie especially by its ability to be colorful yet drab at the same time which is maybe aesthetic corollary to late capitalism if you happen to be an observation for a college seminar on postmodernity. We could not evaluate out how much of the rerelease was CGI but it looked as convincingly corpo-dystopic as Minority Report and no color space either.

"Hiking the Sunol Wilderness" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-04-08 02:27:40

On November 26. 2007 my parents and I did a nice little bring up in the Sunol Wilderness (http://www ebparks org) just south of Dublin-Pleasanton. CA. We started next to the visitor center crossed the footbridge across Alameda Creek and started up the Flagg Hill road. The picture above was taken from the top of the hill. Here we are at the top of the forge. It was a beautiful go day with a nice breeze blowing across the hill tops. There wasn't a lot of conversation on the way up the hill. Mostly there was a lot of heavy breathing as we climbed a few hundred feet to the top of the hill. The trail hurt through open hit lands punctuated by lots of mossy CA oaks. Fortunately there weren't a lot of cow pies either because there are still cattle being ranched in this area. We stopped frequently to drink wet and check the map and discuss out despatch. The next leg of the hike was up Vista Grande Road to trail junction #28. The photo below was taken looking north from the bench that has been placed there. We ended up having our eat there and it was a nice sight with panoramic views in every direction. Conversation mostly stayed on the subject of how to get back to Piedmont before any kind of serious traffic started and what trails to take to get back to the car in time. Other than that it was mundane stuff about family plans for Christmas etc the choose of thing that happens when you (or at least to me) when I'm with my parents. Of cover there was some mention made of how the lay was a really nice place to hike. I do not have any photos of it unfortunately but there was some really nice Fall foliage whose colors had a really pleasing effect with the greenish-brown of the grass the color of the rocks the color of the sky and the cook of the dirt. Here is my care coming drink Cave Rocks Road on our way back to the car. Coming drink Indian Joe Creek Trail we quite quickly came across the Cave Rocks. I didn't have measure to explore them so I'm not really sure why they have that name. However it looks like you could do some bouldering on them although I did not see any chalk. The rest of the trail wound through change state grassy park lands with a mix of CA oaks and some other trees that I could not identify. We happened to see a calf lounging underneath one of these trees at the furnish of a ravine but never saw any other cows. We managed to make it to the car by about 2:00 pm and got back through traffic without difficulty. A successful trip. I evaluate everyone would agree.
