sight to all Quad riders and SidecarsThe decision has been made not to run quads & sidecars at the event this pass at Tyn Twll on Sundaty 26th August as the damage caused to the bring in last weekend means we ordain have to use a lot of the quad despatch for the solos to create the loop. This is not a dig at the quads or sidecars as the track that they ran on is still in good condition with very little damage. But with only 3 being booked in as of today it would not be practical. We will be looking at giving the quads another go at some stage as we did declare to run at least 2 events for them this year. As there are still some of you out there that were awarded a remove ride at the presentation last year. It could possibly be a Saturday race at desire Compton in October. We ordain keep you posted on this website. I dont evaluate anyone is criticising the bring in create by mental act or the hill arise its unavoidable at that venue. populate and a lot of them undergo issues with the support and assistance given by marshals. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and in this dilate the general opinion seems to be that it wasn't good. There is always mixed abilities at these events as at mine. As for land usage surely that is drink to the land owners descresion???? the 1st measure i raced at tyn twll i got stuck in a bog and had to turn my quad out on my own the only measure i`ve seen marshall`s getting quads out of bogs is whaddon cover hell lets approach if you get yourself stuck you can get yourself out marshall`s are there for checking you are ok there aint gonna mess about getting people unstuck all day no it wasnt. but the lack of help and waiting over 15min to get going was a complet eigeifgeifgwigihdwo. if you no wot i convey. when we got going we met up with the solos atthe top of the hill which was just utter maddness. quads and solos. crashing in to each other. god nos how no one got hurt!!! there was a coplet lack of marshalls on the bring in. my mate flipped his quad on the moutain clim. and nearly went of the align by luck he stayed on the parth way just. i think if cor had run the race you would of seen marshalls on there,, one to make sure ur ok and two to help if you flipped it over!! when you was up on top of the mountain there was no marshalls at all.. i no its an enduro but it would be nice to see some back up there if you got in the s##t and broke ur bloody kneck!!! measure for a I would expect the marshals to do exactly what they do at COR events get stuck in and back up! If marshals are just there to inform populate in the right direction couldn't we just alter do with really big write posts??Marshals have 3 primary functions in my opinion:-To displace out constant assay assesments to ensure the area of the course they are marshalling is free from danger - eg: are there any bikes or riders obstructing the courseTo help and assist riders in difficulty. We would always back up riders to make the first effort to acquire themselves but there is no point standing watching people struggleTo assist in allowing the go to flow. A lot of our riders are people who have never raced before we encourage them to act the big scary step into enduros and H&H. Its scary for them and they dont know what they are doing a lot of the measure. We also have riders who are exceptionally capable. Our marshals are there to verify the new riders dont get into trouble or cause problems for the experienced guys and also that the experienced guys dont create problems for the new guys. We learnt early on that if you set a load of novices around a technical track they will get stuck and the race will breathe. The experts ordain then go up behind them and try to pick a path through. Some will get stuck some ordain alter it some ordain go over the novices if they have to. This is why we clear the cover straight away and this is why we dont have mixed abilities all leaving the line racing towards an obvious breathe point at the same measure. I'm trying to be objective with this but if garnib and others have concerns about the go start then i think its something that can be learned from. I cannot back up but evaluate that if the quads had been set off in individual classes then the go away wouldn't have been so problematic and dangerous. This didn't happen and so populate undergo a alter to be concerned and annoyed.
